Babysitting my 12 year old twin sisters Ellie and Hope, who are both budding chefs, so making lots of mess in the kitchen. Think Hope has researched a recipe for profiteroles, so here’s hoping…Hope that’s all OK…

The Fun Friday Tip N°3: Help! I don’t know what to do!
This week we’re talking about Customer Support. There are plenty of options whether you’re encountering technical issues, having a dispute with a user or you just can’t work out how to do something.
FAQs
The best place to start when you have a particular question is to check out the FAQs. Here you can find information about how to get started in the app or how to sell and buy! The FAQs can be found online Depop or directly within the app through your profile in the “Support area”.
Technical issues
Sometimes you might experience a bug such as trouble uploading a picture, reading messages or maybe the app just crashed? Don’t worry, just send an email to support@depop.com and we’ll aim to get back to you within 24 hours to try and help fix your problem.
Dispute with a user
Issues over a transaction that can’t be resolved? Notify us at report@depop.com and we’ll mediate through our dispute resolution process within 48 hours. However, we can’t deal with issues related to an out-of-app transaction. Sorry :(
Report item or a user
If you think an item or user is violating Depop’s policies, you can report it as inappropriate directly through the app (see “more”) providing you explain why this item is inappropriate for Depop.You can also report a user via their profile.
For all reports, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours with an answer unless our findings discover that the item or user are in fact not doing anything wrong according to our terms.

The Fun Friday Tip N°2 : Your Golden Ticket to the Explore Section
Have you ever dreamed of having one of your items featured in the Depop Explore section but never knew how to do this? This week, we’re talking about the Explore section and giving you some tips to help you get featured!
What’s the Explore section?
Everyday the creative team at Depop select the best items amongst what’s been newly uploaded in Depop to showcase to the Community an overview of the most awesome items whether it’s a vintage piece of clothing, the latest fashion accessory or a unique piece furniture design.
How can I be featured?
Now it’s commonly accepted that selling on Depop is as easy as taking a picture! And it is! Nevertheless a simple picture isn’t sufficient to show off your item and to win your Golden Ticket for the Explore Section. But don’t worry! Here are some tips to follow in order to have a better chance of having your loved items featured.
- Creativity
First, it’s all about being creative. You’ve the most awesome and quirky items so why not show them off with an interesting background that just emphasizes the object. Run out of ideas? Just have a look to our photo tips page.
- Item’s description
Adding a brief but complete description of your item is as important as the picture of the item itself. What would you want to know if you were going to buy it? Describe it like if you were reading about it. - Hash tags
Don’t forget to put hash tags in the description for your items. Anything from #dress to #vintage to #red. The colour, style and design are all ways to search.
- Activate your location
By activating your location on your profile, other users will be able to search for items ‘around them’ and discover more items which are in their area.

What would you think if we said that paying in the app was safe and easy? Whether you’re a novice or already an expert, PayPal allows you to do this, anywhere, any time.
Safe: PayPal is one of the safest payment platforms around that guarantees all your transactions. Plus, with Depop you can choose to activate it for all your items or just on a one to one basis in the chat!
For everyone: PayPal is the fastest means for you to send money or make an online payment whether you are a business or an individual. As a buyer you don’t need to sign up straight away, you have 10 opportunities to just enter your card details to pay.
Simple: Thanks to your PayPal account you won’t need anymore to remember any financial details or share them with the potential buyer. All you need to remember is your email address and chosen password! Pretty easy, hey.
Reviews: Remember if you pay for items in the app, then you can receive feedback as a trusted seller and get more gold stars! Now, who wouldn’t want that ;)
Fees: At Depop we want to try and be transparent about how our company works. While we’d love to give you everything for free, we need to keep things up and running at our end. As a buyer there are no fees to pay. We only charge the seller 10% on any sale that occurs in the app. Paypal will also charge a small fee separately plus, depending on which country you are, a transaction fee of £0.25, $0.5 or 0.35€.

Hello UK!
It’s a very exciting day for the Depop Team. 6 months ago Depop was 3 people in Italy, and now its grown to a team of 11 and we’re officially here in the UK. It’s already grown to over 55,000 users selling over 350,000 items and is quickly becoming the fashionista’s app of choice.
Today Depop is like a little store in your pocket, where you can find interesting items, cool items, quirky items and more! Thousands of new and exciting outfits, accessories, cameras, chairs, games, shoes, prints and other desirable objects are shared everyday by the Depop Community and we’d love you to join them.
Plus we’re delighted to have some wonderful UK independent shops onboard such as Beach London, Mint Vintage and Never Fully Dressed (go check them out!). We love hearing from you so get in touch and we’re looking forward to seeing how you will pop your shop!
