Enter the adidas Stan Smith – reinvented with PRIMEGREEN, a high-performance upper made with recycled materials. It’s part of adidas’ commitment to stop using virgin polyester by 2024 – and a step in its journey towards helping cut down plastic waste. 

Adidas Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN x Depop

To celebrate, we teamed up with adidas Originals to give 40 Depop sellers the opportunity to make their unique mark on a pair of Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN shoes – with proceeds going to a charity of each seller’s choosing. 

Three Depop creatives also collaborated with members of the adidas family to rework different pieces in the adidas clothing line. From tops to jackets, the result is a collection of exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces designed to be worn with Stan Smiths. 

Here’s who worked together:

The Creatives 

Sam Nowell (@samnowellstudios) worked with designer and renowned upcycler Paolina Russo.

Sarah Robinson (@sarah_o_robinson) partnered with champion British 400m athlete Laviai Nielsen.

Soph Tresadern (@stresadern) teamed up with Easy Life for a five-piece range inspired by the UK band’s unique style.

The Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN feature an upper made with 50% recycled content. In addition, each pair comes replete with 15% recycled Ortholite sockliners, as well as laces composed of recycled polyester and recycled rubber. The silhouettes are then completed with a recycled rubber tooling (95% rubber, 5% recycled rubber).
