Find it on Depop
2020 has taught us a lot of things – like how it is possible to make an ad during lockdown. And support independent creatives in the process.
“Shooting during lockdown was quite weird, obviously with all the masks and smaller sets, clients watching over Zoom, social distancing and locations being very empty. But the good side of it was feeling having the space, time and some peace to shoot in.” – Terry Paul
Planning a shoot in lockdown while staying within the restrictions was a creative challenge. But seeing it as an unexpected opportunity made us realise the best way to do this was to hand the camera over to as many directors as we could. We’d ask them to cast their friends to star in the ad and ship them clothes found on Depop to wear – of course.
Through Thursday’s Child, we met Frankie, Lusha, Terry and Sylvie, independent directors based out of London, Montreal and Berlin. Working together with all four, this is what we made.
Meet the directors below.
