Depop X Headspace Partnership

Depop has partnered with wellness and meditation app Headspace to focus on the benefits of meditation, and how it can improve our mental wellbeing. We know how important mental wellbeing and peace of mind is and realise that mental wellbeing maintenance isn’t just confined to a day, week – or a month. So, with this in mind, we decided to host a live Headspace meditation session with Eve from Headspace.

The Headspace Guide to Meditation

In this 10-minute Headspace video meditation, Eve discusses how we all have the power to achieve a calm headspace even when our surrounding conditions or circumstances aren’t necessarily the most productive for this. Whether we are dealing with Covid disruption or hectic schedules or facing busy homelife surrounds.

To help us all kickstart more positive habits in the meantime, and weave kindness and compassion into our everyday, Eve guides us through a short meditation session that is focused on the positive principles of kindness and compassion. Being both kind to others and kind to ourselves.

Through various relaxation techniques, she guides us through the session while highlighting how these can help us to sleep better, be more mindful and help improve the vitality of ourselves and those around us. Headspace’s research has shown for example that mindfulness and meditation programs have the power to:

  • Ease psychological symptoms of like depression, anxiety and pain-related stress
  • Improve overall sleep quality
  • Reduce levels of cortisol, a hormone associated with physical and emotional stress.

Additional wellbeing support

At the end of the session, Eve introduces the additional free meditation classes that can be accessed over at Headspace online for those of you interested in taking part in further relaxation and meditation sessions.
